Anyone who has never played bingo, raise your hand. This question will usually not see any hands being raised because bingo is a game that everyone has played at some point in their life. Many kids grew up with a bingo game in their home but it is also played in halls with large groups. The rules can vary depending on where you are but the game is still the same.
Each player purchases a game card, or many game cards, with each having a grid pattern of five rows and five columns. There are twenty four spaces and one free space in the middle. The word Bingo is across the top and each letter represents each column that has a number in each square.
In the UK, bingo is played in practically every seaside town and winners get cash prizes. In the US, there are gambling laws so cuddly toys instead are what the winner receives. The caller of the game draws the numbers in quick succession so you must pay attention or you fall behind. Once you get five number in a row, column or diagonally you call out bingo and once verified, you are the winner.
